Founder and President, IGC Business Network™

Karen Cox is a passionate leader and enthusiastic change consultant with extensive business process modeling, global team collaboration, and IT strategy management experience. Karen formed the IGC Business Network™ (IGCbn™) to provide business education and consulting services to guide companies in leveraging business modeling and collaboration strategies to lead and communicate effectively with the global business community.

She directed over 60 globally distributed teams, engineering new B2B supply-chain processes for RosettaNet. Karen created many innovative strategies for global community governance and distributed team management, while leading teams from multi-national companies with individual cultures and management styles.

A computer scientist by training, Karen applied her IT and systems knowledge in the high-tech industry developing business models to guide numerous change and processes reengineering initiatives at Texas Instruments. She was recruited to RosettaNet in 2001, a start-up non-profit consortium dedicated to the collaborative development and rapid deployment of open, business-process standards that align processes and connect partners within global-trading networks.

Karen has significant experience collaborating with executives and stakeholders to solve complex business and technical challenges by forming and leading distributed teams. She has the reputation for designing compelling presentations to bridge the communication gaps between technologists and business teams to effectively sell ideas, technical solutions, business strategies, recommendations and operational plans.
